I am very proud of the Service Above Self Award
awarded to
to me in July 09. The Service Above Self Award is Rotary’s highest honor for individual Rotarians. Out of 1.3 million Rotarians worldwide, this award recognizes up to 150 annually, who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service, with an emphasis on personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others through Rotary.

We cannot wage a war on terror, we must wage a war on ignorance.
Education is the answer to most of the world's problems today!
If we want peace in our neighborhood, we must ensure quality local schools. If we want world peace we must improve global literacy.
One of my goals is to help Afghans through RAWA (see rawa.org). I also link Rotary Clubs here in Eastern Massachusetts with Clubs all over Pakistan and use Humanitarian Matching Grants through the Rotary Foundation.
These projects will have the added benefit of helping to make the PolioPlus Campaign a success.
